Go DWAGS!

I hate to abuse my Georgia fans on the day after their DAWGS blew a 16 point lead to lose an Outback Bowl they should have won. However, this picture says it all.

I wonder how many of my DAWG fans even “get” this post.

Don’t believe everything you read

I arrived at one of our local elementary schools yesterday to help judge a science fair. It is one of those schools with multiple buildings and an “open campus.” I walked up to what I thought was the front door. There a prominent sign that said:

DO NOT ENTER HERE BEFORE SIGNING IN AT THE MAIN OFFICE!

So I walked to the building to the right, but that wasn’t the right building. Then I tried the building to the left. I found a teacher and asked her for directions to the main office.

Her: “It’s in the building next door.”

Me: “You mean the building with the sign that says not to enter before going to the office?”

Her: “Yes, that would be the one.”

And these people are entrusted with educating our children.

“Signs, signs, everywhere the signs…’

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped into a local drug store with a person who is very close to me but will remain nameless to protect her dignity. She looked at the marquee and asked me, “So, what is a ‘hiney’ shot?”

Hini shots?

I told here that I believe that they were referring to an H1N1 flu shot. Normally they are administered in the arm, but if she really wanted one in the “hiney”, I’m sure they would accommodate her. It did give us a big laugh about the thought of someone walking in the pharmacy, dropping their pants and asking for a shot in the butt.

Right across the street was another sign on the front of the movie-rental store. We’ve all seem signs for free kittens…

…but this was the first time I’ve seen a sign for free kids. So is that supposed to be an incentive? I wonder how sales are going.
